From a five minute ceremony with only the bride and groom and myself present, to the most elaborate celebration, I am grateful to be in service to love. With all the possibilities, styles, rituals, and viewpoints in between I guide couples with care and insight to bring an uplifting awareness that two people have found one another and wish to share their lives. No matter how small or large a service, it is always a deeply moving transition to declare intentions to another person; alone or with friends and family present. I am filled with a sense of awe for each ceremony I officiate.
I so appreciate learning the needs and desires of couples who wish to create their own wedding ceremony. Each couple is unique, and often, I discover new ways to approach this significant life passage. From readings of scripture, poetry, inspiring words, music, to sharing in the unity candle, or earth ceremony, a wine or elixir exchange, gifting to parents or children, the vow and ring exchange, planting a tree, the rose gifting, a hand fasting, to prayers and blessings of many traditions, I weave the wishes of each bride and groom to manifest their dream. I am always amazed how poignant, revealing, and deeply moving each ceremony becomes.
